Here's The Ten Most Recent Songs in my Playlist, and Why You Should Listen To Them.

1. Margaret (feat. Bleachers)- Lana Del Rey

For those who enjoy melodic ballads, this is the song for you. Del Rey's sultry vocals over a dreamy synth orchestral track blend together to create a simply stunning song. Jack Antanoff, one of the producers, revealed that this song was written as an ode to his now wife, Margaret Qualley. This song portrays the complex emotion of being in love with the most simple of phrases: "When you know, you know."

2. How Much Is Weed? - Dominic Fike

Fike is a breakout star in recent years. How Much Is Weed? is his leading track off of his new album, Sunburn, which came out in July of this year. How Much Is Weed? is a guitar heavy indie pop masterpiece, with a heavy focus on imagery. The bridge is the standout part of this song, with an undeniably catchy tune.

3. Never Learned To Dance - Medium Build

There is not much to say about this song aside from how intensely it resonates with my soul. Melancholy musicality and heavy lyricism will never fail to sneak its way into the music I listen to. Never Learned to Dance is a song about growing apart form those close to you, while also learning how to accept yourself for who you are apart from those drifting away. If there's one song to listen to off of this list, it's this one.

4. Phantom - Allen Mock and Chow Chow

I am not a typical EDM listener, however, something about this song will not leave my mind. Phantom has bone chilling bass and has very intense climaxes throughout, so listening to this song feels like a never ending rollercoaster. This song will NOT be for everyone, but for those who enjoy EDM, this will be your new favorite song.

5. All My Friends - LCD Soundsystem

All My Friends is not a new song by any means, as it comes from LCD Soundsystem's 2007 album Sound of Silver. However, this was a recent find on my part due to the fact that the into is sampled on The 1975 by The 1975 from their newest album, Notes on a Conditional Form. All My Friends is a synth pop hit that can't help but make you want to nod your head along.

6. Lover, You Should've Come Over - Jeff Buckley

I feel like I must be the last person left on earth to recognize Jeff Buckley for the musical genius that he is. Lover You Should've Come Over is yet another ballad about yearning for the love you've lost. Buckley's soft belt really makes you feel his pain.

7. DOGTOOTH - Tyler, The Creator

Tyler, The Creator is arguably one of my favorite artists to finally make his mark on mainstream music in the 2010's. His latest release, DOGTOOTH, solidifies my opinion. DOGTOOTH, while maybe a little crude, is a very fun song that is very melodically focused, and has a rhythm that simply can't escape your head after the first listen.

8. When You Die - MGMT

MGMT is a band best known for their incredibly unique sound. When You Die is not exception, with a rather somber message overtures by a sort of spooky yet upbeat melody. The way this song builds is simply heavenly, and the synth guitar riff that carries it's melody will be stuck in your head for weeks. When You Die is a song to listen to when you need to reconcile with things that you've done that you aren't proud of.

9. New Romantics - Taylor Swift

Prior to her tour, I never considered myself a huge fan of Taylor Swift's music, but we are currently in a "Swiftie" renaissance, so it felt apparent that I needed to partake. New Romantics is pop perfection off of Swift's album, 1989, which she is set to re-release in October. Arguably one of her most catchy bridges of all time, New Romantics will have you wanting to dance along, no matter how you may be feeling.

10. Speed Drive - Charli XCX
Speed Drive is Charli XCX's latest release, and is a part of the Barbie movie soundtrack. This hyperpop tune will certainly amp you up no matter what, and might even be dangerous to listen to in the car.
